Dense sampling and detail enhancement network: Improved small object detection based on dense sampling and detail enhancement

چکیده

Small objects only occupy a few pixels in an image, which results low performance of small object detection for existing algorithms. Therefore, the authors propose dense sampling and detail enhancement network (DSDE-Net) to address this issue. The contains module used increase resolution feature maps expand receptive field, includes atrous spatial pyramid pooling coordinate attention mechanism systematically process maps. Simultaneously, introduce branch that edge detailed information generate through Gaussian filtering compensate loss occurs extraction process. experimental demonstrate proposed outperformed related methods. An Improved Content Adaptive Detail Enhancement Algorithm

Detail enhancement is required in digital image processing. The existing technique is very time consuming as it doesn’t enhance the images directly and divides images into layers and it also introduced the effect of noise and fog in the resulting image This paper shows that content adaptive image detail enhancement technique provides better results as compared to existing methods. The proposed ...

Art-photographic detail enhancement

We present a novel method for enhancing details in a digital photograph, inspired by the principle of art photography. In contrast to the previous methods that primarily rely on tone scaling, our technique provides a flexible tone transform model that consists of two operators: shifting and scaling. This model permits shifting of the tonal range in each image region to enable significant detail...

Fractal Enhancement of Cartographic Line Detail

In plane geometry curves have a dimension of exactly 1 and no width. In nature, all curvilinear features have width, and most have dimension greater than 1, but less than 2. Many phenomena, such as coastlines, have the same "look," even when viewed at greatly varying scales. The former property is called "fractional dimensionality," and the latter is called "self similarity." Curves digitized f...

Action recognition by saliency-based dense sampling

Action recognition, aiming to automatically classify actions from a series of observations, has attracted more attention in the computer vision community. The state-of-the-art action recognition methods utilize dense sampled trajectories to build feature representations. However, their performances are limited due to action region clutters and camera motions in real world applications. No matte...

Dense Glyph Sampling for Visualization

We present a simple and efficient approach to generate a dense set of anisotropic, spatially varying glyphs over a two-dimensional domain. Such glyph samples are useful for many visualization and graphics applications. The glyphs are embedded in a set of non-overlapping ellipses whose size and density match a given anisotropic metric. An additional parameter controls the arrangement of the elli...
